If anyone really wants to know why I gave up everything to go to the End of the Earth they can read my blog which started in April 2012 http://francesbigadventure.blogspot.com It's difficult to explain why I'd take such a risk at my age but----I bet the odds and I'm here at last. The story actually goes back further to 2008 but that's all in the book I'm currently writing and editing.
Funnily enough Brian, when I landed the job at the brewery, I think I became his hero in a strange reversal of roles.
Well our fathers had one thing in common, the booze. In some ways it explains why I went to study instead of doing what he, and perhaps my mother, would have preferred a few minutes away on the bus.
