It’s great for accurate weather forecasting as well. It’s my next favourite after the Norwegians.

I use Clear Outside for astro weather as it has lots of other stuff that’s appropriate for that … not surprising really as that it was designed for. I use Yr (aka ‘the Norwegians’ 
) for normal weather. Meteo France is just so out a lot of the time I usually don’t bother with it.

Hairbear, I love some of the pictures from the James Webb telescope, is there a site where one can download the pictures as I would like to get some printed onto fabric?
Perfect skies at the moment. OH was out last night capturing M33, the triangulum galaxy.
I did find somewhere online where you could access the raw data, but that’s not much good. There should be processed images of various things online. I’ll have a look as I would be interested as well.

For me in was M78. Not sure what to do tonight. What equipment does he have ?
There seems to be loads of images at Images | Webb . Some are artists impressions and some are annotated for descriptive purposes for publication but there are a lot of things which are just images. The copyright terms for all the images are very generous and are here https://webbtelescope.org/copyright . it seems you can reproduce them on t-shirts etc as long as it’s not for commercial purposes.

The raw data sets I was thinking about are from several sources including Hubble and JWST. It’s the MAST portal. STScI | Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes (MAST) Portal

Aliens arrived tonight moving slowly from left to right. It looked like a star with swirling cloud going around it. Unless you know better…
