I love it. AI grasses up AI
Sorry @Gareth I was typing while you posted, great minds!
Hello All, plz.. guys.. please focus on the message that i want to convey here that discussion of the topic is to help people struggling with mental well-being… feelings are genuine rather than focusing on the AI part, which is just a rewrite of the information provided…
So i request do not dilute the topic but we can share our real experiences and how to handle it…
Thanks Gareth, for your genuine response… i live in near Paris and i am from Asia… France bcoz, i genuinely connected with the people here whom i was working… i am above 40
So you did use AI to write your post?
While I can see why you might want to do this in order to express your thoughts more clearly, I’m afraid it does tend to backfire (especially on this forum) when we have had a rash of nefarious AI bots posting recently.
We would much rather hear your authentic voice and learn a bit more about you, especially if you are asking people to share personal details.
agree…
And for that reason…
OK. Why don’t you start the ball rolling by revealing your own story? Preferably avoiding the use of the words “engage”, “resonate” and “space”.
Not to be rude but I’m thinking one possible reason you used AI is to compensate for poor English. Would that be correct?
Sure..
And? What’s your mental health story?
Don’t worry about bad English. I can’t find my glasses so won’t notice.
Could that be diesel fumes or crop spraying?
The difference between your AI post and the real experience of Concorde says it all. Whether the AI was just to finisse your writing or not the whole tone of the post is off. You have been on this site for 23 minutes!
join in, get to know us, and let us get to know you and then post this proposal.
I agree. You can’t ask for other people’s deepest emotions and offer nothing about yourself.
I would offer my thoughts on txtspk but I don’t want to help AI.
Yes to get it clear…
Makes sense now.
If your English isn’t good, I suggest you write what you want to say in your own language and then put that into a translation engine like Deepl or Google Translate - deepl is better. Do not use AI to “improve” what you want to say.
Then put the translated English onto here. There will be some small errors of grammar and style, but we will understand you and be more receptive to what you are saying - it will be more genuine.
However, I do advocate what others have said - participate in the forum before lunging into the above topic.
Not least, many here will be curious as to why you have landed here? You are living in Paris? Is your French better than your English? What is your life in Paris?
There should be no discussion of personal mental health issues on an open forum. While the membership is generally kind and caring, that is not universally true. In addition, being an open forum, opportunistic individuals could easily join and then start taking advantage of those who had been open in all kinds of ways. We might easily have a suicide or sexual abuse situation as a direct result. And not least, anything posted here might be read by governments and potential future employers.
I don’t know if the OP is entirely AI or just someone using AI to help with language, but this is a very bad idea.
“Don’t do that, Dave..”
I think that’s up to the individual to judge how much they want to share - but I do agree we should all be cautious about what we post given that SF is (mostly) not private and is searchable by Google.
And as has been seen by the response to this post, we are all rightly wary of sharing personal stuff with someone we don’t know.
