Sums up today's USA for me

Again obviously cannot be proven but a nitrogen gas atmosphere is alleged to be painless … . I was getting one of those lung function tests about 18 months ago which involves taking a deep breath and on command expelling it as fast as possible for velocity and as deeply as possible for lung volume capacity … I found myself looking up at my shoes when I came around … One Breath , That quick …and th.. If there was no oxygen to breath in when slumped ..I would never have woken.

But otherwise I share the revulsion of others here to a death penalty

Michael Portilo did a documentary on the death penalty many years ago, or rather how it should be carried out, and nitrogen hypoxia was proposed then. He even tested it in a chamber.

And it seems some states now use it.

But I also don’t believe in the death penalty

Like many things in the US, not all states have the death penalty.

Not only that, the legal implications of voluntary intoxication (for example) vary by state.

The land of the free and the home of the brave where they kidnap people from foreign countries without any due process of law, secretly fly them to Guantanamo Bay, imprison those people without trial for decades, and regularly submit these people to interrogative torture.
Doesn’t exactly fill a person with confidence.

I wonder if anyone read the instruction on the 10 Commandments stone saying ‘thou shall not kill’

Choosy Christians.
