French bread is much nicer than the UK variety - unfortunately, it doesn’t keep. The French cannot do a curry of any description., however their soups are very varied and rather tasty. Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding is, of course, anathema. When my daughters French boyfriend ate with us, he absolutely refused to eat his roast potatoes. But the French do secretely love Fish & chips. So, on the whole, there’s much to like with both
