Did you watch it on ITV @Mark ? The interview with Tuchel after the game was interesting. I think he had a pint. The result was good, but the performance needs to be better.
Argentina it is.
Nobody mention Las Malvinas. ![]()
Though I bet the red top newspapers have their General Belgrano memes ready…
I think he probably needed it.
Things could get Messi ![]()
Yes, and he was right. But as Bellingham said, sometimes you just have to get the job done
Reads to me that England got the rub of the green (to use an inappropriate metaphor) with the equaliser. It happens. Just as well it’s only a game.
It certainly did. I think I’m in the right thread. don;t want to start another. I was just wondering who is supporting who this evening for the 3rd plane playoff - I know it doesn’t really count, never usually watch these, however …
It is France v England ! Being Scottish I will of course be supporting France, Madame will be supporting England of course, (as well as Messi Lol). France is natural for me, I wonder if there are some English forumites who would prefer France to win? Or is it England all the way? Or not bothered at 11pm !?
Gotta be France but too late for me ![]()
Two games for me to watch this evening, Argentina v England (rugby) and then France v England football long night in the pub this evening ![]()
…down where we live, football takes second place to Rugby…
Have an amazing evening!
I’ll be supporting France (as I have right the way through) unlike England, they’re usually a pleasure to watch.
Not bothered, but rooting for Spain in the final as long as they can deal with Argentina’s dirty tackling.
I have to say me too and sorry France are not in the finals. Like @larkswood12, being an honorary Scot with Scottish daughters, I have no real allegiance to 'England’, sad Scotland didn’t make it through but generally ambivalent to the whole thing but do hope Spain win the thing in the end.
England for both games and hope they stuff the argies in the rugby.
Spain to win the final so that the orange buffoon chokes when he hands over tbe cup. Mind you, players from both teams will probably spend more time rolling about on the pitch than actually playing foot football.
Oh, I’m sure the honour’s ours! You’ve reminded me to say, my daughter is French / Scottish, though living in London, really equates to France first and England, the backup team! Tonight she is going to the watching party wearing her ‘old’ France shirt.
She cried at the end of the last final…. and was upset when Argentina won Wednesday (?). I had to remind her she is Scottish! And both of us are for Spain.
Yup…my youngest is a proud Scot and went to watch the games in a bar in London complete with Scotland shirt, pint of Tennant’s in hand and was a wee bit gutted about the outcome but maybe…maybe one day!
I hope England win tonight, preferably playing a more attacking style of football. Nothing to lose and no one is going to remember the match in a few weeks anyway!
I’ll watch the final and don’t really mind who wins so long as it’s not a match of continuous fouls and time wasting. I’ll switch off if it is!
If England win, it will be their highest placing since 1966. And will likely have the team ranked 3rd in FIFA league. And they will beat the number one ranked team. So maybe it’s not just a third-place play-off in Miami on Saturday that no one cares about.
(And will help the manager retain his job)
Well that was an unexpected first half…!
Seems the rugby wasn’t straightforward for England earlier either.
Oh my!!! ![]()
