Traditional or not

Frankly… just cook/dish up whatever you feel like doing … they will enjoy it and you will not be too stressed… :hugs:

Please yourself, I think that Spanish brandy is best.

Years ago we used to buy Molly O’Rourke’s Irish Whiskey cake . Made by the Ormeau Road Bakery in Belfast. It came in a tin which required the traditional tin opener to release it. It was delicious. Sadly no longer made.image Having just consulted the oracle that is Google it seems the bakery has been turned into apartments

We don’t get many "Eeek"s these days - the most English of ladylike exclamations. Deserves to be a National Treasure or have a Blue Plaque installed over the post or get a peerage, Baroness Eeek of Little Shriek.

Mustn’t be overdone, though. Best brought out like turkey dinner or Xmas crackers, as a sentimental treat. :hugs::star2::gift_heart:

I’m very fond of “Yippee” too, always raises a grin. And an occasional “hic” goes down well, when it pops up…:face_with_hand_over_mouth:
