I believe it’s based on the cantilever principle, with additional flying buttresses derived from the architecture of Chartres cathedral.

And a lot of hair spray.

Generates volume, as any coiffeuse will tell you

What a performance. The rest of th e world have seen Trump on tv on January 6th encouraging the rioters.
The rioters themselves have said in their trials that they were following the orders of Trump.
This is a farce.

What caught my eye was the expression on Kavanaugh’s face. It says something!

I looked up facial expressions – “The face is the only system that will tell us the specific emotion that’s occurring because each emotion has unique, identifiable signals in the face”. (The Truth in Facial Expressions).

He’s looking at Trump intensely, with some sort of passion, so what’s going on here?

He looks to me like Trump is squeezing his balls just under the photo :astonished:

Or he is about to burst into tears and wrap his arms around Trump…

No! He’s in agony!

Hopefully, it’s his conscience getting the better of him. Only joking !

This was an interesting aricle in the latest edition of The Economist - Sorry it’s behind a paywall - It describes Biden as sleepwalking into a disaster - Until his speech over the week-end l tended to agree. Where have all the brilliant young democrats gone - their silence is deafening but they better up their game before it’s too late, not only for America but the rest of us.

The man supposed to stop Donald Trump is an unpopular 81-year-old

In failing to look past Joe Biden, Democrats have shown cowardice and complacency

IMHO if Trump wins, the USA is goosed.

If genocide Joe wins then the world is.

With the disreputable Donald Trump challenging the disfavored President Biden, the 2024 race has become the embodiment of Oscar Wilde’s witticism about fox hunting: “the unspeakable in pursuit of the inedible.”

Trump put up a video on Truth Social on Friday touting the idea that God created him as a caretaker and “shepherd to mankind.” (It also chided Melania, showing her tripping and acting as if all she had to do was lunch with friends.) A narrator intones: “God said, ‘I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, fix this country, work all day, fight the Marxists, eat supper, then go to the Oval Office and stay past midnight at a meeting of the heads of state,’” topping off a hard week with Sunday church. “So God made Trump.” It was bound to happen: Trump playing divine victim, to pass himself off as Christlike or even hard-working. Both are equally untrue.

Surely this must be the final straw, not that breaks the camel’s back, but puts him in the psychiatric ward.

Looks like most shopping centres in the UK.

I sat in a coffee shop early on Saturday morning and the majority of people walking past were either overweight or much worse, many had a vape in one hand and a drink of some description in the other.

To me, if the health of the general population was drastically improved then the pressure on the NHS would be relieved overnight.
