If possible worse, and younger. He thinks he’s Darth Vader.
A Special Monologue for the Republican in Your Life.
A comedian, Jimmy Kimmel, talks to Republicans, but not like the comedian who ‘joked’ at Trump’s Madison Square Garden hate-fest.
Trump will do anything Musk tells him to do.

Trump will do anything Musk tells him to do.
I’m beginning to believe there really is a clique of billionaires, especially oil corporation billionaires, who are becoming analogous to oligarchs, who see Trump as their ticket to more power and wealth. If Trump gets in, I reckon he’ll be kicked out by them in favour of Vance. But what do I know!
I don’t know but this seems like a sneering thread… looking down your nose as those human people; they are stupid, thick, believe what they are told, blah, blah. Perhaps those on your side believe all they are told? However I do not think that sneering at people and calling them revolting names is a good way to go: as it is as if you are calling them low-life. Many are not, just good honest people doing their best.
Excellent Bonzo.

a sneering thread
Nobody is sneering, this is far, far to serious a matter be sneering.
I honestly try not to sneer - though it is difficult with some of the snippets that you see of Trump’s supporters (I realise the internet is not unbiased here).
But what do you say about people who support an abomination like Trump who, as you say yourself, has no better ideas how to fix things, in fact just wants to enrich himself and his white, elderly and already massively rich mates like Musk and brings racism, misogyny and a level of simple pettiness to the table that most rational beings recognise as making him utterly ill suited to high office.
Also I dispute that many are good (or honest) - if you talk to them they are full of hate. Admittedly for the most part that is not their fault but they haven’t questioned the rhetoric they are being fed either.
Sorry if this appears to be condescending - the result of too many battles on Twitter.
It is sneering, treating those people like dirt and mal informed and low life. Sorry but that is how it is. What DO you say about those people who do not support your view? I did not say he has no idea how to fix things? Maybe I am wrong on that? I did not say he was not enriched himself … Do you think Biden or Harris want to do anything else? ANd don’t enrich themselves? Her with the stupid grin and giggle? Anyway, my comment was about sneering and treating anyone without your views as low life on this forum. Not warrented I think. They are just people going about their business and trying to make a living

Many are not, just good honest people doing their best.
Reminds me of a joke, but could well apply to many (all?) Trump rednecks:
From many disgruntled workers on the plantations, questions abound as to why the bosses stride around without doing any visible work.
Having enough, one worker approaches a boss asking him how come he has to work in the fields and the boss sits on a horse supervising.
The boss appreciates the question as good, and to demonstrate superior reasoning, puts his hand against a wall and tells the worker to hit it as had as he can The worker obliges, throws a good punch just as the boss lowers his hand leaving the worker with a mangled fist.
The worker returns to the field, and when asked by his mates what the reasoning was, he puts his good hand in front of his face and…

I did not say he has no idea how to fix things?
I think that was Bristolpete.

Her with the stupid grin and giggle?
Now who is sneering?

Sorry but that is how it is.
Ditto.
There is clear evidence that those who vote(d) for Trump or those who voted for Brexit were, on the whole, older and with a lower educational achievement than those who vote(d) Democrat or to remain in the EU. Sadly it makes them more amenable to the simple RW rhetoric. Sorry, but that’s how it is.
I have a much lower opinion of those that do the manipulating though.
Your point about Harris (I assume that is who you accuse of grinning and giggling) is illustrative. Everyone seems to have to be angry these days. Mere disagreement is not possible, it must be hatred - I honestly do not hate Trump supporters, largely I feel sorry for them (I am sure you will view this as just as condescending).
Your own post is the same - you are not offering any evidence, or even discussing why you think I might be wrong, just accusing me of sneering, as you sneer at me for doing so.

Her with the stupid grin and giggle?
Sneering, you say?

What DO you say about those people who do not support your view?
I say they are thick or envious. But mostly just thick.

Her with the stupid grin and giggle?
Frankly, it’s not worth interacting with anybody that could made such a stupid (and I use the word advisedly) comment.
Well, it seems very possible Biden has thrown the election for Harris, with his ill-considered comment.
@Susannah maybe not thick just not your point of view. They are human people with their own thoughts and that might not be the same as yours but just as valid. Thick / envious… that is the language of sneering

Well, it seems very possible Biden has thrown the election for Harris, with his ill-considered comment.
AIUI his comment was directed against the Trump team and, in particular, the “comedian” who likened Puerto Rico to a floating pile of garbage. So pretty accurate, really.
I suspect it is being spun as something else.

@Susannah maybe not thick just not your point of view. They are human people with their own thoughts and that might not be the same as yours but just as valid. Thick / envious… that is the language of sneering
Recently we had a Muslim group endorsing a presidential candidate who wants to throw Muslims out of the country.
What do you call it when people vote against their own best interest?
Thick!
The thing with democracy is that we all get to vote, us thickos as well as the clever clogs.
And we all have the opportunity to treat each other with respect: if not for the other person’s views, then because s/he is a human being and worthy of respect on that basis alone.
