Understanding solar panels

Are there grants available in France for solar installation?

I do hope so - basing everything on the price of gas is iniquitous, as is the practice of raising standing charges instead of the price per kWh, which disproportionately penalises the less well-off.

It is rumoured that Andy Burnham may appoint Ed Millipede as Chancellor, so that might change.

Depends on how much dosh he can find down the back of the Governmental Sofa of course.

Interestingly, the last adjustment of the cost of a Kwh from EDF was actually downwards ! You could have knocked me down with a feather.
Having just received my annual bill it would seem that it is anticipated that I will use around €1,450 of electricity in the coming year, which price includes the abonnement. No doubt some folks will consider this figure rather high but it does include all hot water, a fair bit of heating on the cheaper night rate, and certainly at present a lot of AC.

Ma Prime Renov is still operating I think

Grant = “aides" when googling. Grants for various things may be available at national level; regional level eg Occitanie, Île de France; Department level eg 47, 01; and/or Town/Conurbation level (the latter may apply to workers as well as residents). Normally you can stack aides on the same purchase f you find more than one available but read all rules carefully.

PS the cueille-fruits is about to return to availability online at Lidl.fr and is joined by a nut roller basket on a broomstick which hoovers up fallen nuts and other windfallen fruit

That sounds interesting. We have a huge Hazel nut tree so it might be worth a look. Thank you.

We have one (not lifl) and they are so cool, save so much effort collecting all our walnuts!
