I respond in kind. The original comment was made from a position of very little knowledge of the issue and delivered in a fashion that i felt warranted sarcasm. Then someone else stuck their beak in, accusing me of all the things he himself is guilty of.
I find it quite ironic that so many who became so disillusioned with life in the UK that they left, take umbrage at the notion that Scotland or Wales might want to leave for the same reason. A colonial mentality, I suppose.
There’s an English (from Brum) couple in our commune that I asked why they left England. Their answer was " because of the immigration ". How ironic is that?
I buy a box every week more or less as I get at least three meals out of half a kilo. Stir fry with veg and noodles, pasta with creamy sauce and prawns and my absolute favourite is two slices of brown or cereal bread spread with mayonnaise, then layered with tomato, cucumber, lettuce and finally prawns - basic no cooking but filling and not bad health wise
Its a bit daft isn’t it, I don’t mind immigration, likeva lot of people, I mind piss takers and grifters. The situation in most EU and 3rd nations seems to be out of control because of hostile regimes in these peoples own countries. Trump would no doubt sort this out along with Israel if only the countries had oil. Was the world more tollerant a few years back or was that just a feeling?
One person said he didn’t understand what looked like a contradiction and you replied with an insult. That’s the whole thread so far.
You’re still welcome to provide clarity on what looks like a contradiction. I’ve explained my view on why I think it’s a bit contradictive under qualified majority voting.
I replied to that one person. You stuck your beak in immediately and accused me of something that didn’t happen. Now off you pop. Unless you want to answer the question that WAS asked.
Think not what you might do for the EU but what the EU might do for you.
My own view is that both Scotland and Wales should be cut free to sink or swim, Ireland should become one again but this time as an independent and English taxpayers stop propping up the minor members.
Btw I am English, have lived in France for over 20 years and have neither need nor desire to return to the Septic Isle .
