Those on the West are in for some weather on Friday!

Flaming storms keep missing us !

Actually Shirl, I've just established it was a lack of grease brought about by too much Fine French Food last night. A huge fried eggy bacon sarni seems to have done the trick :-)

Sunny & 23 deg. outside. Predicted storm arrived in my head 'cos I got back from a dinner party at 3am & I 've got a raging hangover:-(

Pays Basque profond: another lovely day in paradise. The predicted storms did not materialize yesterday despite temperatures in the 30s. It was cool in the pool!
Sat outside until almost midnight.
A few fluffy clouds this morning but otherwise another glorious day.

Nothing wrong with C. Weed. Very good. Warm enough for you? Scorchio down here today.

No worries Ian. He is always accompanied by his weather forecasting colleague Mr C. Weed.

What if he had gone for a run on the beach and a big wave caught him or he fell in a pond? A more scientific approach is required. lol

Vic: reminds me of that old saying “rain before seven, fine by eleven”.

Lovely in the morning, but getting hotter and increasingly sultry all day, especially down in the valley - then back home on top of my hill, around 930 the wind really got up, bits of tree flying all over the place, lightning & rumbling passed over us but no rain, just the odd drop... and the electricity went off & stayed off (on my hill) for a few hours. It must have come back on about 2 ish, judging by the time on the oven. There were lots & lots & LOTS of different sized branches and bunches of leaves all over the grass this morning.

Acc to météo France we're in for the same thing today and tomorrow.

Nothing here in Saint-Malo until about 0500 when it rumbled a bit and woke me up, promptly threw it down for a while and then I went back to bed! So Friday was wrong.....but wow, last night at the Bike club, everyone sat outside at 11pm gone and still at over 24°C

Weather station info for here: 06/06/14..... T°C min (13,3) max (30,2)... wind max (8,8m/s) ave (4m/s) : 07/06/14 rain max 7,2mm/hr @ 08h24!!, atmospheric pressure: 1020mB & rising

end of TX.... 73 de Derek (G4EZZ & F4VQE) (and at least this time, my aerials didn't fall down)

The weather down in SW Gers is excellent today and hope and trust that it continues. My thoughts are with those who might get hit with the Orange alert.

still dry as a bone here in the tarn/aveyron :-)

Major sheet lightning storms last night though not much thunder and combined with heavy rain both then and during the night. Bright and sunny if a little hazy, which is strange after the storm as normally clear. More on the way? Off to Mirambeau market in a little while. Vets at 3 as one of the cats was bitten or stung yesterday afternoon probably by a yellow/green snake as a few about her injection yesterday was just as bad. Amazing how quick they can get in the basket at the vets!!

I sent the dog out at 0730hrs & dog came back wet, ergo it's raining. No storm just gentle rain. 0930 hrs. rain stopped, bright sunshine. This is the weather report for Sat 7th, Earths End. Vic Evans reporting.

Still sunny and clear here but a risk of storms with very light winds this evening according to three different sources.

The rolling thunderstorms are here this am. Not forecast by Meteo though. Heavy rain showers since 0500. Settling down now and sun is out.

We are in very bottom end of Charente Maritime.

So I take it that the forecasts on this site aren't that good then ? Still showing the west/centre of France as being at risk of storms all weekend.

....and the storms have arrived here in les landes - still 28C at 21:00, nice black clouds, heavy downpours and the like....

yes, Bruce, surely flip-flops would be better than sandals...!

Bet the dogs feel proper plonkers dressed like that!
