New tax deadline, according to Connexion, is 27th May, and some changes have been made. The full story is here: http://www.connexionfrance.com/Tax-offices-declaration-dates-modernisation-income-14594-view-article.html
Don't forget to declare all overseas bank accounts you have. You can do this on a separate piece of paper rather than trying to work out how to fill in the complicated form.
You don't have to declare any balances in overseas accounts, but if you don't declare their existence, you risk a hefty fine.
Anthony, you might have to go to the Tax 0ffice and ask for 2042-C form I don't think they automatically send it just because you are registered as an AE. We were registered, waited for tax forms that never arrived, thought it didn't matter because we were paying quarterly so there was nothing else to pay, and it was just by chance that I find out you have to go and tell them. Seems the RSI and the Centre des Impots don't communicate at all!
As far as I am aware it is not possible in France unless you have the specific marriage contract ‘separation des biens’ perhaps.
I telephoned the Tax Office in Blois (41) just a few days ago and was told that (i). submissions had to be made by 31st May, (ii). that 'forms had not been sent out' (I have not received anything yet). (iii). that for an Auto Entrepreneur, I should (find and) use Form 2042-C Déclaration Complémentaire.
As I am a new this year AE, does any of that sound familiar or true? I have been worried about how to make my Déclaration, esp. as my revenus from my sales of my market stalls (selling things) have been minimal, i.e. just in the 100's of Euros, that is all! So am scared to being fined for non or wrong submission!
I have a question; as I am a registered AE, will I automatically be sent the appropriate form? Or should I track down the 2042-C on impots.gouv.fr ?

I haven't received anything at all yet. Also, I want to declare separate from my husband, how would I do that?
Hi Tracy. Brilliant idea, and thanks! My first question would be:
I have just received my Attestation Fiscale 2012. Do I need to do anything straight away or do we have until May?
Thanks
