A bridge too far for dirty Donald? What's the view?

Taking on Murdoch  I’d say the dirty digger has more shit on the orange one than you could shake a stick at (trying to stay in the vernacular).

Meanwhile Paramount bends the knee…

The rule is that when threatened, just tell a bigger bolder lie more loudly.

Yes, blame the victims while claiming victimhood. This is so formulaic and obvious it just shows IMO how stupid people are. With this number of stupid people democracy is a good idea.

Oops. This could be helpful to Murdoch.

Donald was all about conspiracy when it suited him, no wonder his supporters are turning against him. I would love to see him brought down by the Epstein scandal; you only have to see his documented past behaviour to know what he’s capable of.

I think Trump could back down at the discovery stage of his defamation suit, could become embarrassing.

Are his supporters turning against him enough to affect future elections or can he bluster his way through this one?

Looking at the bigger picture, I am happy that the world is adjusting to the fellons tarifs as long term they will hopefully learn to stand on their respective own two feet which will hurt that country a lot more. Maybe the next president will be more human.

Trump’s modus operandi as far as litigation goes is to use it as a weapon against people much less wealthy than himself knowing that he will always win the legal war of attrition.

Perhaps he is happy to take on Murdoch because he thinks the courts are no so deeply in his pocket that he can’t fail.

The tariffs are tipping Europe towards recession. The EU’s chief negotiator with the US said “30% tariffs on European goods would eliminate transatlantic trade”.

Yes no doubt but Europe will adjust as will others, that will make a stronger Europe even if it is a bit painful to start but a less relevant US. No way should one fellon carry so much power ever.

It does illustrate just how impossible it is to change the status quo without tearing down global economics and starting again.

Most are not foolhardy enough to try, Truss had a tiny little attempt and was firmly put back in her box without much lasting harm - I think it will be harder with Trump and more lasting damage will be done.

Not that I am a particular fan of the way global economics works, nor do I necessarily think we could not do better - but it represents a “local maxima” from which it is going to be difficult to escape.

I agree that nobody should hold that much power; he assumes the position of being the president of the world (in his own mind)… I think the fallout shouldn’t be underestimated, nor the pain it would cause. The EU would either have to go to war (economically speaking) or find some way to negotiate.
We all know Trump says one thing, then does another, and applies some stupid piece of legislation only to withdraw it shortly afterwards, so I suspect it will fizzle out when Americans get hit hard too.

He just doesn’t really think beyond his own ego. A good example of that is his ‘Coca Cola will now use cane sugar rather than corn syrup’. He’s obviously not thought that through. Coca-Cola use huge amounts of corn syrup, made by American farmers in mainly Republican areas. Cane sugar on the other hand has to be imported, some from Mexico but probably a lot from Brazil. Corn syrup is subsidised but cane sugar will have a large import duty. So not only will it piss of mainly Republican farmers but increase the price of Coca Cola. Of course he may know all this and just really not give a :poop:

Edit: Of course Coca-Cola have denied they are changing from corn syrup to cane sugar in the US.

Too bad cane sugar Coke is so much better tasting

So glad this has come down drinking cola, possibly one of the worse things to put in your body but the fact its even being mentioned shows how far the mind control has gone.

Also funny because in the US, Coke made with sugar is imported from Mexico, and is thus referred to as “Mexican Coke”.

Mexician is made with cane sugar but the recipe is slightly different. The closest is the Coke they made around Passover

I thought that was something you are supposed to put up your nose?

(maybe the feel of the bubbles on the inside of the nose is pleasurable).

Indeed, this causes hilarity in certain circles suggesting that Trump prefers Mexican Coke :nose:

That would be the ORIGINAL Coca-Cola.
