The Rwanda scheme and the barge in Portland don’t seem to be very good deterrents.

Exactly. Also with the number of small boats coming over, what is the source of these boats, stop the source of small boats and engines.

An item on the Today programme accused the Libyan government of actively taking part in people smuggling.
One migrant said that his smuuggler was a Libyan army officer.
I know I (inadvertently as it happens) transgressed but there are other threads in which to discuss politics. Lets keep this one to the funny stuff.
