You must be joking, Scousers don’t have the vocabulary range for sophisticated stuff. I think I first heard it with a Cockney accent, but they were probably only copying from me.

Reminds me of the ferry port shop way back, Boulogne I think it was, big advertising banner for wine, Buy two for three! I spent 15 minutes trying to explain to the shop why that would not work.
