A little mid-week humour to lighten the mood

TBH it just looked like nonsense to me, so I assumed it must have some cultural relevance elsewhere.

We used to call them underarm poodles but now we think that’s curly dog racism

The American language may be similar to those who speak English but to go further is to step into a foreign culture. Perhaps if some canned laughter was added it would lead viewers to think it was funny :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

This is bugging me - the reflection of the sign is completely wrong which wouldn’t be funny if it was correct but spoils the joke (for me) because it isn’t.

Yes, I agree, I think it is a rather lame way to explain the origin of Thomas’ joke name.

I wonder if we’re over-thinking some of this, rather than just enjoying it for the intent.

I think that is the case. It was intended as poking fun at AI but I guess I was trying to be too subtle (or crude?). I still expected some pedant to point out that the “Transport” font used was not available in Dylan’s time.

Were any of us alive in Dylan’s time? :face_with_peeking_eye:

Yes. for the first 7 years of my life and the last 7 of his.

I think that the only font available in Dylan’s time was the one in which he was, or was not, baptised in.
