I do love Dilbert, it’s so unfortunate that Scott Adams lost the plot the way he did.
Agreed.
Me too! Still chuckling. ![]()
I got it, but after more than a moment or two…!
Following the recent cessation of hostilities in the Middle East, an enterprising person has discovered a way to convert land mines into prayer mats.

We had a change of staff at our local primary school and the new Teacher twigged I was English…
Aha… as she locked the gate behind me, she decided we could both profit from this encounter..
Bouche (mouth) eez “pie-ole” ???
Seems she’s some new English youngsters at the school and she wants to know what this word is… she’s trying to say an English phrase which she’s overheard them using…
and I’m struggling… then the penny drops..
What the English kids have been saying/shouting at one another in fact.. is:
Shut yer cake 'ole!
Yep.. she’s nodding… that’s the phrase… and I swiftly enlighten her..
"NO! it’s not some charming English phrase which everyone uses…
No, it’s not gros mots sort of stuff (swearing).. just NOT polite…"
and I gently explained that such a phrase was certainly NOT one that the other kids need to learn… ! ![]()
(I also mentioned that I’d gently sort out any kid who spoke like that in my hearing!)
So, all you Grownups… be careful what you say.. little kids have very big ears ![]()
They all look like that, even me, ‘till I got my CdS. ![]()

According to Max Boyce, many fans got the day off work by producing a sick note saying they had Scarlet Fever.
