My Swan voice activated kettle has just arrived and there’s a Virgin wines voucher with it for £75 which I’m not going to use. If anybody wants it PM me for the code.
This is the link to redeem it.

That’s very kind, I hope one of our UK based members takes you up, what a waste otherwise
A kind offer!
Although at the risk of looking a gift Bordeaux in the mouth, I have to say these “Wine Club” offers are usually contingent on taking out a monthly subscription, and the wines are often a bit ordinaire…
I don’t know. I can’t enter the code to see what’s behind the welcome page with using up the code. I suppose there’s usually nothing for nothing, but
I tried a case from Virgin wines albeit 15 years ago probably. Every bottle was awful. Laithwaites do some very nice wines and you don’t have to commit I think, at least we didn’t at the time. Not cheap though.
I also used to go to Byrnes in Clitheroe three or four times a year. It’s an aladdins cave of wine from all over the world stretching across the cellars that go underneath several of the adjoining shops. I got my first South African wine from there only a few months after sanctions were lifted - a Beyers Truter basket pressed pinotage which was not only very cheap but so good I went back a few days later and bought a case.
Virgin, I prefer something a little more mature
Branson’s branding franchise is everywhere.
I am not a mega wine connoisseur - I used to just buy wine from Sainsbury’s - but in the last few years have upped my game a bit and (apart from buying wine to bring back when I’m in France) have been buying from a wine merchant in Guildford called Wine and Earth.
One of the partners in the firm used to come to our business networking group so i got to know them quite well. They import direct from small producers around the world, rather than via a UK wholesaler, so their stock is a bit different.
I’ve also used an online supplier called Just in Cases - got some nice Loire Sauvignon from them.
Except on some trainlines to Birmingham
