The water in the sump is generally pretty clear so I don’t think it will be too much of a problem - in any case it’s a spring operated thing with quite a lot of space inside for flow, I don’t think fine particles would bother it too much.

Nothing seems cheap these days. Just noticed that Waterfitters has a 50€ minimum order so would have been stymied by that anyway.
Delivery also kills on small orders from independent retailers who don’t ship enough to get much discount from the couriers.
