My thoughts are it would be too soft for a work top of any longevity, likewise used on the floor. Automotive (car paint) acrylic isn't meant to be walked on either. Something in the diamond glaze (Dulux) or Bona Mega professional range would be tougher in use to seal and protect what is a paint finish.
