We have become used to sharing our house with various creatures such as beetles, mice, bats, snakes, frogs, baby toads and a preying mantis but yesterday Sandy discovered this crawling across the carpet. We have seen one outside but not indoors on a cold January day. We suppose that it was brought in by our dog Chico or one of his visiting friends as it had various bits of hair stuck to it’s skin. Sandy took it outside to a ditch by the side of the road. Despite the low temperature it was quite lively.
