For historical reasons the UK Jewish lobby is very strong. The financial power of the US Jewish lobby has also made it very influential. I consider both to be complicit in the Gaza genocide.
So this decision by the Green Party, led by an honourable Jewish person is important. It shows that matters that were taboo before because of lobby groups antisemitic slurs are now open to debate. There is a lot of stuff to be debated. This coupled with Ed Miliband, another honourable Jewish person, announcements may, hopefully start to break the omertĂ forced Jewish people who are afraid for social or family reasons to speak out against the Israeli genocide.
