Hi, isn’t transport (ATP) commercial? Private–>Commercial–>ATP, instrument rating thrown in somewhere before ATP, no shortcuts possible I thought.
Surprisingly he’s not sure if he wants to do commercial but possibly transport maybe even military.
Does he want to be a commercial pilot?
It was my wife Nathalie filming, I didn’t know he was going solo. What was really funny was the comment from his instructor to my wife just as he taxied out: “This is where you really cut the umbilical chord”. Very emotional moment for her. He’s now simulating complete engine breakdown and doing landings fro quite far out just gliding. The first time I saw him do that I thought the engine had gone for real; quite scary. Antony says it’s probably easier than driving on the French roads.
Tense moment I’m sure!
