Finding a nest containing a little egg, which we looked at and thought may be a pigeon or a collared dove, he gently removed the nest, lay it on the terrace below and replaced it in the crown once he’d finished lopping and spraying. I didn’t have the heart to tell him I expect the mother would not return after such interference but one can hope all the same.
