Any cheerful news today? (Nothing negative please! 🙂) (Part 1)

Got my Crit’Air sticker in post this morning, just under four weeks from applying for it.

Need any help in positioning it? :smiley:

Had rotator cuff surgery today, and it was smooth sailing! This was the last big “thing” apart from closing up life here that was looming, so I am grateful to now have it behind me so I can focus on the Big Move. #94Days

Awesome! 40 days for us and it seems like it is taking forever but all our stuff is already shipped

Very good news, hope the recovery is equally smooth

This is all really good news @DrSukie and @TFJWM . I don’t think either of you is going to be in my area unfortunately but it’s very exciting that all is in place for your move. France is such a good place to live

Sore point in my family down here, DIL thought she knew best and took the wrong side off first so they had to get some glue and stick it to the windscreen properly. We have until Jan 1st to show them here so not rushing out to stick it on yet until I clean the inside and remove my insurance vignette which is low down and the CA sticker won’t fit where it can be seen behind the wiper blade.

To be fair the instructions on the sheet of paper it comes on are not exactly a model of clarity.

There is better info on Youtube showing it being done.

The trial and tribulations forced on us by drivers of internal combustion engines. (oops sorry – wrong thread) :grimacing:

The problem wouldn’t have occurred if @Shiba DIL had been pointed to the thread on here :rofl::rofl:

Absolutely. :slight_smile: Although the thread is really all about position; I don’t think we went into the technicalities of which side to peel off or the detailed adhesive properties of the sticker. :smiley:

Clearly a massive oversight.

Perhaps someone should start a new thread on the topic? :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Please do pop in and update it on that aspect. :upside_down_face:

She can’t read english very well, only stuff for little ones at school.

I was joking :rofl::rofl:

How dare you, the care and feeding of Crit’Air stickers is a very serious topic on which all members should be fully informed :smiley: :smiley:
