As mentioned elsewhere, we’ve moved out of our cottage/gite back into our big old house because it is lovely and cool. I’ve been reluctant to do so because of a smell in the bedroom - dog urine? mouse urine? dead mouse? dead bird? Finally tackled it yesterday, cleared everything out, hoovered, swept, shifted the bed.
Thought it might be the drains in the ensuite, lifted a bath mat out of the way and there it was! Not good news for the tiny shrew that died there, but good news for me. Who would believe such a tiny thing could be so smelly!
