Any cheerful news today? (Nothing negative please! 🙂) (Part 2)

Can you not sync your Kindle to your tablet to view maps etc.

When I buy recipe books I find this very helpful.

Michael Connelly’s latest The Proving Ground is on Kindle uk for £0.99p. Not sure if just today, or for a bit longer. (Lincoln Lawyer series).

Resurrection Walk the preceding one is also still there £0.99p but unsure for how much longer.

Went out to walk the dogs yesterday and came back with several kilos of chevreuil complete with FNC tag to show it had been shot that morning.

Today’s cheerful news.. bright sun, no snow and first day back at school.. with the sound of kids’ laughter echoeing from their playground.

All’s well in our little part of the world :crossed_fingers:

Good news: neither the UK nor France is on Trump’s list of nations that need his help.

I hope it stays that way.

The amount of hypocrisy coming from the orangeone and his cronies is pretty nauseating. As Larry the cat said the other day ‘Every accusation is a confession’.

We are in Sheffield on grandparent duty for our soon to be 5 year old grandson as his baby brother was born yesterday. Mother (our daughter) and baby are doing well, waiting to be discharged from hospital .

Very special for them as her partner had B cell lymphoma with lots of chemo and radiotherapy in 2023; officially in remission just in time for Christmas 2025.

I’m so pleased for you. Enjoy the family time.

AI though, right?

Horse really can do this, and it is permitted

I love ClicDoc, made a rdv with the doc for the 20th, yesterday they brought it forward to Friday and this afernoon, to Thursday, can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow, just as long as they don’t overdo it and make it yesterday.

Do I really have to stay up all night in front of this screen, just to make sure I don’t miss it?

I have always loved horses, though only ever ridden one once for a short time. That old man was in tears, I wonder if he was a veteran cavalryman. :joy:

Guardsmen always have a special touch for ex servicemen.

These horses are truly amazing gentle giants.

I’m not denying that horses can do it, but those are generated by AI. Even the Instagram ones show errors, such as the dodgy fence, or the man stood in between two barriers, or the horse with no guardsman (and the apparent hundreds of other guitars behind it), or the woman sat on a park bench in front of Buckingham Palace (where there aren’t any park benches), etc…

Apologies, I realise this is the Cheerful News thread and I’m not being very cheerful :zipper_mouth_face:

Not cheerful but every lesson costs. And I appreciate the lesson

Those AI generated guitars are the worst…

.Yet.
