Any cheerful news today? (Nothing negative please! 🙂) (Part 2)

Mine has got to be:

It’s lovely and sunny and warm :sun_with_face: :sun_with_face: :sun_with_face:

…and I finished a huge bit of lime/hemp work yesterday….

..and olive trees just pruned and now onto the apples and figs…

No, I saved myself for greater adventures, like growing old and falling over.

Well the weather is just grey and miserable here today, but with my wife away this weekend I’m heading off to London on the bus to take pictures.

'Scuse the wonky phone picture.

Can you edit the picture on the phone to remove the wonky?

It’s more real with wonky.

I was thinking it’s a bit early for a tipple :wine_glass:

I didn’t have enough last night for it to be still in my system.

For the first time since the 29th December, this evening I should be able to get my telescope out and take some piccies with my new astro camera. It’s only about 3 to 4 hours and the seeing is not that great but it will give me an opportunity to test the new non reflective window that had to be fitted after I first used it. Hopefully it’s all OK now but I’ve had to wait a long time to try it.

VG - do post some if suitable.

The Scope Nights app is promising me a clear evening on Tuesday here in Sud-Angleterre but I’m not getting my hopes up, it’s done that before and then withdrawn the offer.

Waxing half moon though, but if all else fails I shall try and photograph that!

I tend to use the Clear Outside app and website. I also come across this last year

It’s only 3 days ahead but has so far been more reliable. Takes a bit of interpretation though. In case you wonder how I know where you live, you mentioned it a few days ago !

Yes I have that one too but find it a bit incomprehensible!

Thanks for the Meteoblue link looks like it uses similar data to ClearOutside.

Good work Sherlock Holmes!

We’re just back from a wonderful weekend in La Rochelle, where the sun shone and good food was taken. A last hurrah before the radiotherapy diet starts tomorrow with two months of blandness.

Glad you enjoyed it. All the best for the upcoming treatment.

Good luck, fingers crossed for you.

Yes @JohnH I’ve got my fingers crossed for you as well :crossed_fingers:

Sounds like a very suitable start to the therapy! Fingers crossed it proves to be a great success and worth the ghastly diet…

Wishing you all the best for a successful treatment - sorry about the diet!

I take it they want a low fibre, low gas type diet but they probably put in white rice and pasta whilst telling you to go low fat? Good news is meat is no/low fibre, easily digestest without gas. And even a fatty steak is only 4-8% saturated fat so enjoy

It’s more the lack of spices that bothers me, it’s pretty much the only way I get to enjoy food after COVID.

Oh, what have they banned you from having?
