Any cheerful news today? (Nothing negative please! 🙂) (Part 2)

I can recommend the Lumberjack cordless.

Mind you if you pay such little tax then you can afford to be far more helpful and generous to customers. Small setups just do not get the same breaks. The supplier of the original equipment probably doesn’t fare well in all of this. Just like the American gold rush, it was the merchant selling equipment that got rich in most cases

Careful what you wish for as you probably won’t have a local shop before long, that said some could use a lesson or two in dealing with customers.

Had a pleasant surprise today. Whilst clearing some shelves I came across this ceramic plate. My wife and I had completely forgotten its existence. We bought it in Puebla, Mexico, a good few years ago.

We have no local shops. I once returned a faulty TV to nearest shopping centre. They wanted the original receipt. Went home and rummaged round till I found it. Returned to shop where they insisted it be returned in original packing. Not amused

I have had nothing but good service from local shops. So since I value having them I continue to use them. Only in extremis will I use Amazon.

Yes, think we have all been there.

That’s one of the things we told Amazon that we weren’t able to do but they said don’t worry, just package it up in a box with no other labels on (except the return address label). We usually keep original packaging for about a year then bin it or I think we probably used it to put around our trees then put some mulch/chippings on top of it.
