Congratulations… lovely part of France. :+1:

Hope so! We really have no idea as this is a jump into the unknown.

It’s been lovely at Lac des Settons this afternoon. When we got in the car the temperature guage said 44.5 degrees (more like 35 in the shade) but it was 29 by the water with a gentle breeze and shade under the trees. It’s just clouded over and we can hear rumbles in the distance.:stuck_out_tongue:

We had a cracking storm last night. Loads and loads of very bright lightning strikes… shame it only started at around 03h00 though. I’ve been very sleepy today

It’s stopped now and there are sunny patches. Temperature is about 21ish. :+1:t3:

Very disappointing up here in southern Manche, bit of thunder and lightning, tiny bit of rain and all over and done in 10 minutes.

For about ten minutes it was like the end of the world down here (12), Hadn’t seen anything so intense for many years. Looked out and saw our newest garden rubbish sack flying past before landing in the Lot. It’s probably in Cahors by now.

Same here! Huge hailstones first and ferocious wind plus lots of rain and then no power. We had supper in semi darkness, lit by an old camping gas light accompanied by the sound of the onduleurs beeping away. The noise of the hailstones on the roof was incredible. Now there are whole broken branches strewn around outside and the bits and pieces on the terrace have been swept away. Amazingly, half way through it all, the squirrel appeared from nowhere and shot up the big tree. Now it’s the calm after the storm and much cooler thank goodness.

We had a few drops about 4am …

We had the possibility of a storm which never materialised although it had been super hot during the day.
