The aged (21 year old) Berlingo passed the contre visite with flying colours today, a big relief because one of the failure points was the presence of a little icon on the dash that looked like a pregnant lady sitting down. 
Apparently if it lingers it means the airbags arenât working and, when I cracked it up to go she stubbornly remained in position. So I switched it off, left it a bit and tried again, she was gone.
As I had left plenty of time we spent over half an hour in the waiting room and, every time someone arrived or left Jules got to his feet in welcome or howled in heartbreaking distress. Fortunately, all who came into contact with us were dog lovers and perfectly understood his joy and grief. 
A very good job that my eyes were not up for examination though, all the way there I could not make out, with or without lights, which of the numbers on the speedo was which, but on the way back they were perfectly clear. It is important because there is a speed camera in each direction.
Perhaps they are sensitive to worry, on the way there, will it pass, on the way back, passed.

So pleased the car passed - and with flying colours too - David. Thatâs one less thing to worry about. 
In Chinon, we came across these estate agents who are so posh they donât even have a shop window, just a very smart house and a brass plaque, basically saying we buy and sell chĂąteaux, as one does. I must remember to contact them next time I need a chateau.
In the next street was this Pythonesque plaque for a law firmâŠ

Nearly finished the tiling in the back entry!! Just finished and Iâm exhausted! We still have 1 and a bit to lay but couldnât reach it to do them and ran out of glue! We can only manage 12.5 kg of glue mixed up as my hand / arm gets too tired and sore and same for hubby with his fibro pain.

Plugs into an electric drill or a battery-driven one. Product number 100392310 on lidl.fr cost 3 euros. Total 8 euros incl sending whether just this or other stuff as well.
I have just found a really nice UK 16 or 18 month aged Cheddar on the handcut cheese counter at SuperU. Nicer than the prepacked cheddar on the shelves. Just over 16 euros a kilo and quite moreish.
I believe Cheddar is best bought in large chunks 
.So I think the chunk I bought should last about three days.

I wasnât mixing by hand, drill with the mixer thing. Still bloody hard work followd by cake icing the stuff on, combing it off ( at exactly 90° or himself moans as it is then too thin ect)
