Any experience of using Amazon Photos for storage?

As a Prime user I can store unlimited photos in the Amazon cloud. The research I’ve done reassures me regarding privacy. Unlike Google who acquire a licence to reuse any image you store with them, Amazon keeps your stuff private. I currently use Apple iCloud but fancy a bit a fiddle with Amazon. Has anybody used it?

Interested in the answers. I’m happily using MS Family but always interested in alternatives.

Suspicious of a man whose surname looks like an operating system, mind.

I’ve really just started playing with it and my favourite but is the family shared folder. We drop pictures in there and the in-laws Echo Show is set to display pictures in that folder. So it’s a very easy way to share pictures with no fuss.

Yes, not so true of the Apple Photos App, though it does now have a shared library capability which I’ll get around to investigate.

We use shared albums all the time for family stuff. It’s a nice way of getting updates on what others are up to without intrusive messages or calls.

That facility has been extended with the latest release of MacOS to a shared library that sits beside your own library. I was going down the shared album route but then decided to explore the shared library first.
