Any French Declutter Websites?

I am on an intensive decluttering rampage. The furniture and framed works have been put on RootstockAds; the clothes will be donated; the fine china has gone to a rather elegant local brocante shop; some books will go to Phoenix.

I would like to get a bit of money from the rest but I do not like e-bay or leboncoin much. Is there anything in France along the lines of Webuybooks to take more of the books, DVDs and videos? And for the electronic items, is there anything similar to Preloved or Gadgetpanda? Lastly, is there a site that pays cash for old mobiles?

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

You could always try TROC.

www.troc.com

If you access through a english computer it will respond in English, French in French etc.

Thank you so much, everyone! What a collection of places to try!

The Secours Catholique will also collect unwanted furniture. Clothes, kitchen equipment, books, DVDs etc can be donated to the Secours Populaire.

Old mobiles are bought by http://www.planeterecycle.com/ and

http://www.mister-reprise.com/fr/vendre-mon-mobile.html

A free publication called Paruvendu sends quite frequent emails etc. offering their local paper for some free advertising in certain categories. And each little area seems to have their own edition., I don't know their phone number for your area, but you can pick up a copy in most places.

It's troc.com not trod.com. Used to be called Troc d'Isle before they had a web presence. I think troc is slang for swap.

Am sure there will be other local equivalents but those are two that I have used. If you end up with stuff that you just want rid of, the Emaus charity will probably come and collect it from you .

Thanks so much, Steve,

I had never heard of easycash or trod.com so I will investigate both.

Very kind of everyone!

Carol,

What a good idea! Thank you. I will look at it.

Thank you, Nick, but no. I am not too good at sitting in the sun all day.

Is there a troc.com depot near you ? You leave stuff with them and if it gets sold, they take a cut. There is also http://www.easycash.fr/ who I think actually buy stuff from you outright.

AngloInfo for your region, eg. we are Midi-Pyrenees. They have a Classifieds section for either sale or giveaways. I have successfully decluttered my house ready for the move to a smaller one. Easy to use. You sent up an account and it is all free unless you want special displays which I did not.

Why not try having a table at the next vide grenier ? You could even share with a neighbour.
