Anyone else having any problems with international parcel post?

Worse since March, packages from Eastern Europe taking 2-3 week as opposed to 3-4 days.

Letters/parcels from the UK usually within a week, although Campbells Meats have always managed to deliver within 1/2 days.

The problem with letters from the bank, HMRC etc is the length of time it takes them to get them in the post, anything up to a fortnight’s difference between the date on the letter and the postmark.

Have all but given up buying stuff on Ebay that comes from China or AliBaba as delivery times are often ridiculous and sometimes parcels just disappear.

Deliveries within France suffered for a while but now seems to be back to one or two days.

Stuff sent internally (France) seems to be back to more or less normal delivery. Can’t answer for Mondial Relais but their operation is a little less complex so probably OK. Ordered cat food from Germany which arrived within a week. Ordered from the US in April which has vanished but they’ve sent a replacement which “should” arrive next week - assumin they have actually sent it and this is not just an automated reply. Some stuff from UK arriving within fairly acceptable time limit but others not. This is all probably understandable if some systems are operating with reduced staff or have shut down completely pro-tem. On the other hand there must be much less actually being posted so I guess it will all take a few months to stablise.

I wonder? People have been sitting at home with nothing better to do than to order stuff via the internet - some online companies have seen their orders rocket - and not everything comes via courier, the smaller stuff just gets posted. Certainly our purchases on line have not reduced - far from it.
