Anyone else turned the CH back on?

Sorry for delay in replying back. Yes I live near Perp and although the temp has dropped a few degrees it is still shorts time. Went over to Barcelona on tues to collect daughter from airport and it was pretty hot there too. This morning the wind has dropped and we have full blue skies and its pleasant outside to continue with teeshirts and shorts, my son wears his all year round but not to work except for May and June when they are a bit longer like Bermudas. Stay warm

We walked the cliffs in Leucate yesterday and loads of folks in sea and on the sand sunbathing.

That’s amazing. We’re not that far from you or Leucate but I certainly wouldn’t have been out in shorts or on the beach yesterday. We had quite a strong wind, Tramontane maybe.

My pals and I decided that “some folk must have internal CH” after we watched in amazement as one large gentleman (a local) turned up at the Boulanger with bare feet in what looked like bedroom flipflops, thin leggings and a teashirt… brrrrr
us uvvers were huddling in thick clothing, coats and warm shoes/boots and trying to keep out of the wind. :roll_eyes:

and, no, he hasn’t lost his marbles… :rofl:

It’s not that cold yet (very wet and windy though) and I’m still wearing shorts.

If you were in my village we’d all think you were a Brit on holiday :rofl: or a French visitor from Bretagne. some Bretons with holidays homes here .. often walk around all winter in shorts… “we’re made of sterner stuff than you wimps” is more of less the translation of their response to the amazement of us locals… (French et al)

Not yet, although we did put the duvet on the bed on Tuesday evening, usually it’s late November early December when we do that.

No winds there, in fact it was pretty hot on top of the falaise;

My SiL wears shorts all year round, but he teaches sports and is as mad as a box of frogs!

If we see someone in shorts during the winter, they are usually a postman. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
