Anyone used these roofing sheets

I have an old conservatory I am going to roof over, we won’t be able to see the roof as it is at the back of the property, I was recommended the sheets below and like the tile effect, has anyone had any dealings with them.

I gather that you want a lightweight roof material that blends in? Personally I would be concerned about the PVC base for this sheeting. I also note its claimed to be novel and innovative (which is always worrying with buildings, since there is no long term experience). In France in that case I would expect it to have been tested by the CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment) who undertake independent accelerated testing, and certify the results. See cstb.fr/en/certification .
There is conflicting information on the Leroy Merlin link, in the photos it states 15 years guarantee (not clear if that is the vendor or Leroy Merlin). In the text states 10 years guarantee (again unclear who is guaranteeing it).
The longer lasting lightweight equivalent that has been around for ages is pressed metal sheeting with the appearance and the form of tiles. e.g. see Metal Roofing Sheets | Corrugated Roof Sheeting | Cladco Profiles at https://www.cladco.co.uk/ [put ‘tile form’ into their search box at the top of the page, or do a search on ‘tile effect metal roof sheet’]. In France search for e.g. Panneau tuile facile en acier galvanisé

(Conservatory roofing usually uses Polycarbonate sheeting, which is strong and usually contains anti ultra-voilet ingredients to prevent decay and slow down yellowing.)

A much more sustainable durable and lightweight traditional solution, if you don’t want to have light coming through, would be timber shingles… (I searched on BARDEAU TUILE DE BOIS) e.g.

Thanks for that input, I have used tile effect metal roof sheet many times before and that is what I was going to use again, but I wondered if there was any benefit to using the pvc over the metal
I have used wood shingles before but they are a pain in the backside for me because nailing anything is hard as I only have a thumb on my L hand.

Onduline gets good feedback, guaranteed 10 years but not tile effect.

A few too many comments on the LM link referring to early splitting and cracking. For me 4 star is not deciding.

Splitting was one of my concerns which will probably come from drilling the fixing holes, I think I will stick with the metal, I know it but always good to get another opinion from here.

PVC does get brittle with age, even those with UV stabilisers in them. As you said splitting can be down to a clown nailing them down too tight or having missed and later a spilt. Operator error is seldom disclosed when it is self.

Thought about these?

or these sandwich panels

Since it is joined onto the house I am wanting tile effect to blend in with the existing roof.
I have 30 sheets of the bitumen corrugated sheets sitting waiting to go on one of the outhouses, it’s on my to do list

Not sure if same as above, but I came across this looking for a slightly different purpose: “Bacacier plaque repositionnable” excellent fake tile 1m squares. Looks good in the usual tile colour red.

Really good reviews saying it’s easy to fit great result. Red (Tile red) or grey. Need the plaques, rive, faitiere pieces, so-called “self-drilling” (hah!) fastenings (50-pack). Polyester coating over steel. Price on brico depot is less when you click than initial display (showed at about 20 euros but when clicked to look at it, it came up as 12 euros but not sure which branch that was). It looks quite economical but the appearance good. Bacacier seems a good brand there from the ratings.

Lost the storename on Brico Depot that will show you the red so not posted a link as the grey is not what you’re looking for and would put you off but the red is and your local Brico Depot may well show it. I’m thinking future carport or woodpile cover.

OK found the picture of the red. Not sure which branches of Brico Depot will have it. I’m definitely going for this, hope it’s around in another year cos I won’t have time for the job for another year or two.

Thanks for that, Leroy do them and other similar ones as well.

There are a number of these appearing each year and getting a bit better each time. Some have the sand finish so look much more authentic. Cant help in France but did a project in the UK 12 years ago and they werent bad looking and much more wind proof than tiles.
