Aol changes in January?

I’ve an email from Aol, address mail@email.aol.net. It’s addressed to my email address rather than using a first name after ‘Dear’.

It says that Aol LLC is taking over emails from Yahoo on or after 2nd January. It has links to stuff like privacy policy and Ts and Cs but I’m reluctant to click on them. And if I don’t want to go to Aol LLC, I can close the account.

Has anyone else had this? The non-use of a first name and the aol.net sender has made me suspicious.

It seems that Yahoo is offloading AOL to an Italian company:

However I would wait to see if you get official notification from Yahoo before you do anything. The deal is quite recent (see link above).

Thank you. I just found something by Aol Canada that says pretty much the same. I’ll wait for Yahoo though, as you say. :slight_smile:
