Greetings all!
Currently “renting-while-searching” , we’re looking for either an existing B&B (max 3 letting bedrooms, preferably all 3 en suite) or a property with B&B potential without too much “preparation” needed.
Some land would be nice (up to 1 ha) but it MUST have at the very least an enclosed garden, as we have a lively and loving Pastor Catalan!
We’re open to suggestions such as:
Outright purchase
Rent with option to purchase
Long-term rental (managing the B&B on behalf of owner)
All genuine proposals/suggestions will be seriously considered.
Please make initial contact here via SFN with brief details (and price/preferred structure).
Fingers crossed!
Julie & John
Thanks Jen
Good luck and woofs to Mille +2!
Julie
Hi Julie
Hope you find what you’re looking for - know what you mean about falling for a place - we found ourselves drawn down to the Gers after first thinking the Dordogne was for us when we moved France. Really love the Lot & Ariege too but the open countryside and the weather here is so lovely, can’t imagine ever leaving.
Cheers
Kate
Hi Jen
Thanks for the info.
You certainly have a lovely place (and obviously thriving business!) - and we’d love to dognap your doggie - he/she is gorgeous!
Unfortunately, we are committed to the Ariege - love the area and the people - so I’m afraid we’ll have to pass on La Noyeraie.
All the best
Julie
Thanks so much, Kate,
Looks like a really nice place with loads of potential for increasing revenue!
Unfortunately, it would stretch our budget just now and, more crucially, it’s not an area we want to live in (we spent a few months renting and looking up there around Cahors and, having moved to Ariege, we’re besotted with it!).
I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and hope that one day i can buy you a cafe-cognac to say thanks properly!!
Julie
Hi
Don’t know how concrete the Ariege is for you ,but our friends are selling their House (large 4 bed) and attached B&B business in a lovely village (with all facilities and an English-speaking maire!) in the Gers - 5 letting rooms, all en suite, large residents’ dining room and lounge, terrace, garden with lovely pool. They currently only run the B&B in the Summer but the letting season could easily be extended and the B&B provides an ideal location for running classes, retreats etc.
