The Attestation de conformite is issued by CONSUEL when an electrical installation has been carried out and is required to obtain a permanent supply. Obtaining an attestation is compulsory for any property which was not previously connected to the grid. This could be a new build, a property with a temporary supply, or a full renovation where no supply was present or where the supply had been disconnected. If the property is already permanently connected to the grid, then there is no obligation for anyone wiring it to have any form of inspection carried out. However, you can choose to have it inspected on completion of the work and this will ensure peace of mind.
