I have an automatic gear box on my newly aquired car . It works fine in the daytime when I select “D” but won’t move at night when I select “N”.
Do you think it’s to do with the clocks changing?

Sounds like it dosn’t know whether its coming or going to me! 
What are you doing going out at night? 
It only works at 1:30AM on the night the clocks change

You could try “S” on a weekend

Mine has a “P” setting that stops it moving unless I say “please”.
Also, is it a German car? If so it will only go when you put it in “D” and say “Danke” - “N” means “Nein!”
