As yet we have not found any ex-lizards.
Ex-lizards smell to high heaven, so you’ll know if they haven’t escaped.
I had one for four days last summer. Just left it alone and it came out one afternoon so I opened up the big sliding window, got a broom and swept it out gently. They are prolific at the moment so have to make sure no door is open and there was another real ugly specimen I accidentally disturbed in a pile of leaves earlier this week, toad-ish looking, fat and long tail too, pale grey in colour; He scarpered like the proverbial. I call them all Eddie L’Izard
Ours come in through windows as well. That’s what this morning’s had done and then dropped into the back of the radiator under the window, From there to the floor and the bookcase.
Quite likely a gecko rather than a lizard, they are fab and have amazing feet and will keep your house free of undesirable insects.
