It’s around and about… but the folk concerned do seem to be keeping it under control… thankfully.
I’m always hoping to espy a panda peeping out…

Bamboo ev erywhere here, huge plantations of it growing but its used to plant along the riverbanks to keep the levels down to prevent flooding which seems to have worked but it spreads as said, has to be kept cut back and looks unsightly in some places. Its very high too.
perhaps with more regular droughts, the use of bamboo will lessen… every drop of water will be too precious.
