We would like to let Ben’s saver tell his story –
“He is a very brave and patient soul, with beautiful big eyes.
The story I was told was very sad. His owners had no children or immediate family. They had a dog called Bella (who Ben loved). Ben apparently used to sit with his owners for hours cuddling and listening to Mozart. He slept with the dog. His English owners both died of cancer within six months of each other. The dog Bella was taken away. So Ben lost his owners and his dog friend and his home. The house was empty but he would go back there. After a year of living rough he was so weak he couldn't lift his own body weight.
He is a trouble-free, very talkative cat. He has a great dignity somehow. He looks at you and seems to talk with his eyes and when he was nearly dying he would stare so intensely at me that I promised to save him. The reaction of ALL my friends has been to have him put down, but I believe he has really fought to live, so I can't do it.
If anyone asks, that is Ben's story as best I know it.”
We think Ben was born in 1999, so not a young cat, but as far as we know is now healthy and he is super cuddly, getting on well with other cats and dogs too!
Ben is tested negative FIV/FeLV, castrated, identified(details on www.chastsduquercy.fr)![](upload://fscyZbQocy8iv3EjYsE5xKa7gDd.jpg) and fully vaccinated.
