Anyone been to the Bergerac extravaganza??
Friends are talking about going and I’d just like to get some ideas of what it’s really like in the audience.

good grief… ah well, if we do go we’ll have to quaff a lot at lunchtime so we can snooze through the worst parts. 
Just found this… which is slightly better (?) still not sure, so we’ll make a decision on the day itself.

OH has acquired the dvd’s of Bergerac and it seem odd to see John Nettles so young. Midsommer Murders is what we know him for mostly.. and we have all those dvd’s as well.
I haven’t been, I’m sure @vero probably has but not sure if she’s currently in the sky (with my Vegemite 
).

Back to basics
We went to Bergerac yesterday and had a great time.
Lovely meal at midday, followed at 3pm extravaganza “Bergerac Splendide” at the Centre Culturel Michel Manet.
The place was packed and everyone (performers and audience) seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves.
For OH and myself.. with the Comedy Sketches it was a matter of concentrating as the script was fast flowing and with many colloquialisms . As is only to be expected, there were jibes at the current situation, the Budget, Retirement etc etc and in one sketch SMD3 came in for quite a bit of stick…
The singers and the dancers… are all to be congratulated… phew, what energy and what talent.
The whole thing was flamboyant and very enjoyable.
The rain finally arrived just as the show finished, so the place emptied in record time (I reckon) as we all dashed for our cars and zoomed off to wherever…
