Hello, new user from Colorado, USA here. Been living in Strasbourg for a little more than a year and just came across this site today after doing a Google search to troubleshoot a problem with mon ballon d’eau chaude.
Very excited to meet some fellow anglophones, check out the discussions, and offer any assistance I can regarding what I’ve discovered in my year+ of being a stranger in this somewhat strange yet beautiful land.

Found the solution on a thread here. The red valve on the groupe de sécurité had some calc or grit stuck in it so it was constantly dripping. Just turned the knob to give it a little flush and now it seems to have stopped.
The drip drip water torture has been replaced by my occasional chuckle at the pressure valve being called a groupe de sécurité.
