In a few weeks my wife and I will be arriving in France with three excited granddaughters. We get off the ferry in Saint Malo at 8am and will be heading towards Nantes. We would prefer to stop just after disembarking rather than get breakfast on board. Any suggestions for a stop with coffee and croissants available?
When we used the ferry (a good few years ago now) we used to stop at Châteauneuf-d’Ille-et-Vilaine , about 20 minutes from the port of St Malo on the D137. There’s a cafe there where you can get a basic breakfast , though I do recall once - on the cafe’s recommendation - buying the croissants at the local baker and going back to the cafe to enjoy them!
