Brexit Vote, what next!

Let’s hope it’s hangman!

So now it’s confirmed that we have yet another general election…

Today I feel really sad that John Bercow is retiring…love him or hate him (I’m in the former category) I think it’s a great loss…I watched the debate about Keith Vaz and I thought Andrew Bridgen’s attempt to smear John Bercow was totally uncalled for…I’m a Leicester gal (with Scottish roots)…

But the general election has been given royal assent and now I’m thinking about how to vote…???

I watched Labour’s campaign launch…I think Jeremy Corbyn is much more comfortable campaigning on the streets and in communities than he is in the House of Commons…I almost felt that “real change is possible” and that if Labour is elected then there will be a people’s vote with choice to remain…’I’m very tempted by the Lib Dem’s revoking article 50…I think it should be revoked…

I’m appalled at trump and Farage…what hypocrites…! Glad to see Johnson booed out of the hospital he visited…what did he expect seriously…??? the man is a born liar…

How to vote…???

Johnson was in a primary school earlier, it was probably the best place for him and where he truly belongs really not in the House of Commons, given how childish he is!

I think Bojo would be more at home in one of these!

I expect that the primary school children were much more tuned in turned on and tapped into to what life is like for them and their families than any purported con job (servitive) bullshit merchant such as bojo sitting at their tables talking bullshit…???

3 kids and 5 grandkids later I never stopped listening to them…I’ve defended them against bullying by head teachers…numerous purported ludicrous uniform infractions…defended myself against potential court cases and fines and do you know what…??? My kids have turned out to be much more trustworthy and compassionate and with an integrity that bojo and Cummings could only dream about…and I doubt bojo and Cummings do care because I know that if any of my 3 kids stood at the dispatch box for 5 minutes then blatant lies and hypocrisy would be exposed within a minute of the opening discourse of any debate…

I was wondering if the Head Teacher has the ability to say NO, I will not allow my school to be used for electioneering?

What would that change ?

Oh look, Farage wants to do an alliance with Johnson - let’s hope that Cummings’ deep hatred of Farage stymies that.

Brilliant comment on Twitter, referring to the damage that the Brexit Party and the Tories could do to each other - “when a wasp lands on a scorpion, no one cares which one is stung”.

Boris would look a complete fool if he abandoned his Deal as Farage is demanding.

I can’t quite see that happening - he’s put a lot ofpolitical sapital into it.

Mind you he put a lot of political capital into the “We’re leaving on Oct 31, come what may”.

Switching the focus back to Nigel - it might be that he’s keen on an alliance because he hasn’t got enough candidates.

As I understand it, the evidence is that the Brexit Party will take a few Labour votes, but many more from the Tories, so the more candidates they put up the better it is for Labour (and the LibDems).

Johnson has (predictably) ruled out a pact. The question now is whether Labour/LibDem/SNP/Plaid & the Greens can work together - the phrase “herding cats” comes to mind but we will see.

^ I can see this being a possibility. ^

Add Labour into the mix however and I can’t see it happening.

Agree, much less likely - but a LibDem/SNP/Plaid/Green majority is a fantasy.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle elected as new speaker…I’m still really going to miss John Bercow but I also think that out of all the contenders his election to speaker of the house was the best outcome…

I’m glad it wasn’t Harman even if she is a woman and I’m glad it wasn’t Bryant…

I thought that Harriet Harman spoke well, as did Dame Eleanor Lang.
It will be quite a change to hear a Lancashire accent in the chair, although I will miss the extensive use of the English language as used by John Bercow.

I don’t stop grinning today, could the Conservatives have made any bigger hash of the start of their campaign! Radio phone on disasters over Grenfell, scandal and resignation of the Welsh Secretary, Brexit Party standing in all seats against them other than Ireland, talk about shooting your self in the foot before the starting pistol has even been fired!

Beginning to think Jo Swinson’s bid to be PM could be a credible one at this rate!

Hope that they continue to make a hash of it and don’t get their act together closer to the 12 - there is quite a bit of evidence that voters only take notice of the 2-3 weeks before the election anyway.

And Jezza’s almost a Brummie! Telford’s within spitting distance of my home city, Birmingham, a few leisurely hour’s barge trip by canal, and the great allotmenteer’s birthplace.

That won’t do him any harm in the polls IMO.

Already his prophetic, reasonable and homely voice is striking fear in BloJo’s heart, as it should and must. The latter is a caricature of born-to-rule patronising, blatantly manipulative windbaggery, and wholly unreliable, as is widely understood.

Watch this space. Like the scorpion, the Tory campaign seems set to inject itself with its own venom. I hope and believe it may be fatal, it’s death is overdue.
