Call charges to "special" UK telephone numbers

Is there a direct way of knowing (in advance) the cost of calling a UK non-standard number from a French telephone (in my case Freebox)?
I believed that all “non-geographic” numbers were charged even 0800
One brochure tarifaire I found (perhaps not the latest) said that “lignes fixes” were included, except 087? But is 0800 fixe?
And how about 0345 numbers?
It is not an entirely academic question. I need to ring the Co-operative bank and I have read that there is a 3 hour wait to get through!!!

According to the website ‘saynoto0870’ the Cooperative Bank has a number of standard geographic phone numbers.

Cooperative Bank

Thanks, but I’ve tried the 4 most appropriate so far…
1 is a fax, 2 are not “attribués” and the 4th doesn’t even ring :frowning:

In principle these should be charged as per geographic numbers, so if calls to lignes fixes are included then calls to 03 numbers should be included.

But it could depend on how your French teleco interprets things.

Have you tried 0044 151 494 1260 and then # when it picks up?

But is Relay UK intended for deaf people?

It’s what I’ve noted in my book as how I got through to the CoOp previously…haven’t‘ tried for so e time!

I haven’t had any charges calling 0800 and 0345 from France but those recently have been with other French telecoms companies.

You won’t know the cost in advance, but surely a call lasting only a seconds will show up in your account details within a day and give you a definitive answer either for free or for a small sum?

I remember when I used the Free mobile offer free calls were limited to two hours with charges then applying. It is the same with my current mobile operator. That may not be the case with the Freebox.
