Well of course my needs were different, a hearing specialist, but the one I got, online direct, was the only one who would give me one,12 months hence. Because of the wasted journey with the other one I determined to ring and confirm before I went this time but there was no need because they sent me at least 3 reminders running up to it.
Iād be really fed up trying for over 10 years

We are beginning to have problems with rdvs too. My thoughts are that specialist doctors are retiring without replacements available so existing doctors are then expected to share the extra patients.
My OH has had stents twice in Allier 03, since living here, with followups etc. Our lack of knowledge of the french way meant i missed out on a rdv with the doctor who did the stents 1st time, when his then Dr retired. We were fortunate to take a rdv with an alternative but he too will retire soon. So its 
that we can take a rdv with the younger Dr!
That said it has taken 3 months to get an annual checkup rdv. I still havent learnt the periods of when to phone/visit to make the rdv.
Gynaecologists are the same in that i have an annual checkup for fibroids but have struggled the last 3 times to get a rdv, close to my annual date. It appears they have the agenda availability just for 3 mths but no knowledge of when that opening starts!!

No just a thought, but a fact. Over 30% of doctors are over 60, and 50% over 50. And these came into medicine in the 70Ā“s when the number of training places was high (numerus clausus). Many fewer places were available for the generation after them, so fewer experienced senior doctors to ready to take their places. And Macronās reforms of the numerus clausus have only just started to leave medical school.

My MT sent an email to the cardiology dept, because OH is well over due for his yearly post stent check up.
Just wait and see
